Abstract:

Small fen dominated by Carex. Several shrub zones of Cornus and a large wooded zone of Tamarack, Cornus, and poplur. Autumn olive encroaching on edges and some within fen on northern side. Former owners Nirdlingers used to maintain surrounding prairie. Homeowner to north manacures land in the lawn fashion to the edge of his property. Private ownership.
